Details : seminar « Vancouver Greenest City 2020 plan: What’s in for my company? » organised by Brussels Invest & Export in cooperation with CanCham Belux
The City of Vancouver has set up the ambitious plan to become the Greenest City by 2020.
Realising that new ways of building, setting new standards and objectives in the world of construction, both residential and commercial / industrial, will highly contribute to this goal, the policymakers from the City of Vancouver and also from the Province of British Columbia started to implement new guidelines and policies to achieve a more sustainable building industry. Well aware that not all technologies and know-how can be found in Canada, they are actively on the lookout for what is happening outside of Canada, and in particular Belgium.
Belgium has a substantial know-how in the fields of passive housing, sustainable building, energy efficiency in buildings, revolutionary architecture, BREEAM certifying etc. and can highly contribute to these goals. Real market opportunities will arise on the short-term here.
The Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce and CanCham Belux congratulate the European Parliament for the vote today in favour of CETA. This vote gives a strong and important signal to business communities in the EU Member States that final ratification of this innovative and progressive treaty by their national authorities is expected to happen in the coming months.
The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in close cooperation with CanCham Belux, organized a roundtable discussion on bilateral business and economic opportunities on the occasion of the visit of the new Ambassador of Canada to Luxembourg and Belgium, H.E. Olivier Nicoloff.
